Who is responsible

Daniel Akers trading as Danmade Studios is the data controller for personal data collected through Breathless. Contact: info@danmadestudios.com.

Your audio

Your audio files are processed entirely on your own device. They are never uploaded to us or anyone else.

If you use Breathless without an account, you give us an email address to collect your free minutes. We keep that address to count your free minutes and to send occasional news about Breathless — you can ask us to stop or to delete it at any time.

What we collect and why

• Account details (email address, sign-in credentials, or your Google account name and email if you sign in with Google): to create and secure your account. Legal basis: contract.
• Usage records (minutes processed, file names, dates): to track your free minutes and plan allowance. Legal basis: contract.
• Free-minute email address (the address you give to collect free minutes, how many times it has been used and when): to give you your free minutes and to send occasional news and offers about Breathless. Legal basis: consent — say the word and we will unsubscribe you and delete the address.
• Subscription records (plan, status, billing period, Paddle customer reference): to give you the plan you paid for. Legal basis: contract.
• Technical data (IP address, device and browser information, error logs): for security, fraud prevention and fixing problems. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Messages you send us: to provide support. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

• Service providers who host and run Breathless (hosting, database and sign-in providers).
• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of plans, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
• Authorities where required by law.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, we rely on safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep account, usage and subscription data while your account is open, and for up to 6 years afterwards where needed for legal, tax or accounting purposes. After that it is deleted or anonymised. A free-minute email address is kept until you ask us to remove it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, erase, restrict or port your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email info@danmadestudios.com; we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your data.

Cookies

Breathless uses only essential browser storage to keep you signed in. We do not use analytics or marketing cookies. Paddle's checkout may set its own essential cookies when you buy a plan.
